One of EGCP's major roles is to work closely with the Marine Directorate. To this end we are undertaking the following:
Supporting marine planning by:
- Identifying the main issues in the region concerning regional marine planning.
- Consider important/key issues for terrestrial policy to support alignment between terrestrial and marine planning areas.
- Communicating marine planning and policy objectives to local stakeholders.
- Where appropriate or requested by the Marine Directorate, continue contributing by adding data to NMPi.
- Where appropriate or requested by the Marine Directorate undertake biosecurity‐planning projects.
- Where appropriate or requested by the Marine Directorate deliver actions to contribute towards the Marine Litter Strategy, including working with communities to promote marine litter issues and organising and running beach cleans in the region.
And:
