Whale Watching

With daily sighting of Bottlenose Dolphins, and recent Orca encounters, the East Grampian Coast is one of the best places to see whales, dolphins and porpoises.

Binoculars and telescopes will be provided.

These events are being led by Ian Hay who has over twenty years experience watching these waters.

There will also be the opportunity to purchase EGCP's new Discover Map. Funds from this will help our future work.

Whale and Dolphin Watches, Spring 2024

EGCP will be holding a series of Whale and Dolphin Watches over the coming months.

We will be looking for a wide range of species with Minkie Whale, Bottlenose Dolphins and Orca all possible.

Optical equipment will be provided.

We are also looking for volunteers to carry out surveys of our local cetaceans either from land or vessels. These watches will include training on survey techniques.
