On the 23rd September 2024 Turning The Plastic Tide held a beach clean joined by more than 100 people from Aberdeen Football Club and the Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust, including the Dons first team manager Jimmy Thelin and players, alongside members of the Women’s first team and Under 18’s team. All the volunteers got stuck in and cleared rubbish and debris from the shoreline removing almost 70 kgs of waste from the beach area! Amazing turnout and day, organised by Lauren Smith and Lauren Dunkley (TTPT), Ian Hay and Derek McDonald (EGCP). EGCP would like to thank everyone who took part in this event for their time, energy and enthusiasm and for a Job well done!
