Train
Railway line runs North as far as Aberdeen, connecting coastal towns of Laurencekirk, Stonehaven and Portlethen along the way. National Rail has a useful journey planner for those travelling by train.

Bus
Bus services run regularly and connect many parts of Aberdeenshire, enabling people to travel up and down the coast by public transport.
Stagecoach Bluebird
connects towns and village throughout the North East. Request stops can be made for smaller locations along the coast. Tickets available from the driver or online
First Bus
in Aberdeen run frequent services throughout the city, including night services for some routes from the city centre.
Bicycle
Aberdeenshire offers a range of long distance and recreational cycling routes, with many options available for people who wish to cycle near the coast. Aberdeenshire Council have great pages on cycling in the region, including route details.
Foot

Car Rental
Car rental is available from outlets around Aberdeenshire, with many based at Aberdeen Airport. AA Route Planner
is a very useful tool for planning journeys by car before you go.
The Co-wheels Car Club
has cars available for its members. To have a car, you just have to sign up as a member (or a driver for your company), you will be able to pre-book cars online or over the phone (0845 602 8030 for Aberdeen’s location). Then, take your smartcard along to the car, hold it over the reader and as long as you have a booking the car will open. At the end of your booking, simply drop the car back into its bay. Co-wheels will send you an invoice out each month to cover any charges during the previous month.
Taxi
